OH HAPPY DAYS!
Today has been one of the best days in recent months! You should automatically know this because of my exclamation point. I never use those. I’m rarely this excited.
I found an open position within my company on our website during my lunch break and asked my boss if he would write a recommendation for me. Awhile later he forwards the email he sent, and it is by far one of the best recommendations anyone could have asked for, it blew me away. My fingers are crossed for this job: the position was posted 14 days ago.
He definitely possesses the qualities necessary for this role. This full-time opportunity overlaps almost identically to what he’s currently responsible for. I feel strongly that a transition into that role would be nearly seamless.
Back in July, I opened up a temporary Office Manager position (which is pretty much identical to your Assistant Manager position). I had over 300 applicants and I chose Brian to fill the role. Brian accepted the role because, even though he was the lead at a valet lot (and still is), he wanted to expand upon his managerial experience. I was happy to give him the position after seeing his eagerness to grow within AmeriPark and his level of competency and professionalism. I’d hate to lose him here; however, I’d love to see him grow within AmeriPark, as I see a lot of potential in him.
HARD WORK PAYS OFF.
Also, I played extraordinarily well tonight at our work team’s softball game. I went 3 for 4 and made an amazing catch running out from first place into foul territory to make the play. High fives all around.
